![]() ![]() Later this summer, the Steam Video app is targeted for release, allowing users to stream movies and shows available on Steam directly to their Android and iOS devices over Wi-Fi or LTE. Linux and SteamOS are also supported, per Ars Technica, along with keyboard, mouse controls and other compatible controllers. The Steam Link App will feature support for the Steam Controller, MFI controllers, and more across both platforms. Android access will initially be offered in beta. This can be enabled by connecting a 5Ghz network or wired Ethernet to the Mac or PC host system, and then the content can be streamed to mobile, tablet, TV or Apple TV. The Steam Link app, slated to launch the week of May 21, allows users to stream their Steam library of games on Android and iOS-based devices. ![]() In a press release today, Valve announced Steam Link and Steam Video apps would be released in the coming weeks.
